Padahal ongkos nye tak ade pon....
Kenape nak berplaster ceiling?
Konon nye kalau pakai downlight, environment rumah lagi nampak cantik...KONON....
hahaha.....

Cost untuk plaster ceiling ni biasenya akan dikira per sqft...
Untuk yang PLAIN plaster ceiling (meaning bukan yang ade box-box bagai tu, L-box etc etc)...
Paling mahal contractor quote I is rm7 and paling murah is rm3.50...
Please bear in mind harga untuk DESIGNED plaster ceiling lain ye..as I mentioned earlier....

So macam mana nak kira cost untuk plaster ceiling?
Sonang yo.....
Kira la luas kawasan ceiling (in sqft) yang hangpa nak buat plaster ceiling tu...
And then times la dengan harga yang contractor tu quote...

In my case...
Luas kawasan ceiling yang I nak buat plaster ceiling tu is 720sqft...
Contractor tu quote rm3.50 per sqft....
720 sqft x rm3.50 = RM2520....
So total cost of my plaser ceiling is RM2520...murah tak...hehehehehe

Oh ya, wiring and painting kire cost lain ye....
Because of we DIY wiring and painting....
Jadi, I cant advise on the wiring and painting cost here...

 Buat kerangka besi dulu....

Tapi the tricky part is the measurement tang mana yang hang nak paku kerangka tu yang pakar sahaja tau buat....

Drill la kepingan-kepingan papan ceiling pada kerangka tadi....

Satu Kereta

Memiliki lebih dari satu kereta...
Keperluan atau kehendak?

I...or should I say we (me n hubby) only have one car....
We do afford another car but with tight budget la....
Kene cut off nak makan mewah or nak g jalan2 or nk beli baju baru...
So better dont commit something that can make us suffer kan...

Tak susah ke ada satu kereta je?
Pergi keje macam mana?
If one of us ade hal, macam mana?

Since our working place satu hala...so nope...tak susah...
In fact, we are very comfortable sebab at least we do have time to spend together before reaching office and after work...
Time tu la nk update each others punye story...
I will send my husband to work and after that heading to my office....
From home, it took us about 40 minutes plus sending Aisyah to babysitter's house...
Luckily, our route tu tak jammed...

In case of emergency and one of us need to use the car, or one of us is having unusual schedule for that day, we will borrow my father's car...
Another lucky instant...
So, I (we) think we've made a right decision not to have another car yet...

That is my scenario...
But for some of us...
It is necessary to have at least 2 cars...

There are so many reason and basis why they have to have 2 cars...
For example, they are taking different route to the office....
Their working hours are different...might be because of they are working on shift...
One of them need to travel around frequently....etc etc etc

But seriously...do we need more than one car?
If we can commute using public transport...
If we can tolerate our schedule...
If we have same route to work...

Committing ourselves into another debt is really not a wise resolution...
Because the car values will drop as soon as it is purchased...
Yet, another monthly installment with devastated interest to pay...
Unless you have a fortune of money to splurge on...

Thus, lets rethink of having more than one car when we should not...

Bila due? Normal ke Caesar?

Bila dijawab jek I will go for Caesar...

As usual, there will be next question, WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY go for Caesar...

To my surprise, when I explained, most of makcik2 and nenek2 kat kampung can understand without ade annoying response or another annoying question....
In fact, their reply was very supportive...

Unfortunately, manusia2 yang at my age pulak yang memberi response and comment yang sangat irritating and bothersome...
"Kenapa tak nak try normal?"
As I said, I memang nak merasa bersalin secara normal...in fact, bukan I tak pernah rasa sakit nak beranak...
During my first child, I was suffered to death nak beranak....
That eventually I have no choice other than Caesar....
So, dont tell me that I should try for normal delivery and experience myself the pain of contraction!!!
Because I've gone thru the strain!!!

Good for you that both of your deliveries are normal...
You should be more thankful for that...
But that doesnt mean you have the right to denounce or critic orang yang Caesarian ni...
And please bear in mind that we, who go for Caesar also SAKIT okke!!!
Bukan tak sakit...
So, tak yah nk buat expression muka mintak penumbuk when I said I will still opt for Caesar for 2nd child...

Register and Check Up Your Pregnancy at KK and UMRA

For those yang first time pregnant tu..mesti tertanya2..
Bila nak start check up...
Nak check up kat mana...

Through I punye experience....
Masa first pregnancy tu...macam mana I tau I pregnant??
My menstrual cycle boleh dikatakan normal...
Normal means...every month mesti period and beza dalam 1 to 2 days je...
Just after married, the next month tu tak period....
Ape lagi...cuak makk.....
Pi beli pregnancy test kat Guardian ngan my BFF and check tang tang tu jugak.....
Which UPT (UPT stands for Urine Pregnancy Test) I bought?
Any brand would do...
So, buat la UPT...and guess what.....POSITIVE
Ok, when the result shows it is +ve, I mula la panic tak tau nak buat apa....(poyo jek kan)

What to do when you know that you've got a bun in the oven aka pregnant?
Drop by to any nearest KK (Klinik Kesihatan) to confirm it and boleh register terus your pregnancy di Klinik Kesihatan...
Bile nak pergi confirm kan?
It is up to you bile2 you nak pergi...but the check up will start at the third month for the first timer...

Macam I, first pregnancy I pergi register je kat Klinik Kesihatan and buat BUKU MERAH tu...
But I did the check up at UMRA, tak pernah pon pergi Klinik Kesihatan..
And, every time I went to UMRA for check up, the doctor will update the BUKU MERAH tu...provided we have to give it to the doc buku tu, if not the doc wont update it...
Second pregnancy ni, tak pergi pon register kat KK since dah ade record kat UMRA kan...

So, for the first pregnancy, I register both at KK and UMRA during my third month of pregnancy...
Kindly note that, for the first timer, if you want to give birth at UMRA, you have to register and start your check up before your 5th month of pregnancy ye, after bulan ke 5, UMRA will not accept if I am not mistaken....

Bile dah register kat KK and UMRA,
They both will advise date of the next check up...
Tiba date untuk chekc up, org KK tu akan call as a reminder, if you decide nk buat kat private je, then cakap je yang you nak buat check up kat private, they will understand and wont call anymore...
Ade jugak mommies yang buat check up kat both KK and private...
Sebab, kat KK boleh dapat ubat free, while kat private you have to pay for the medicine....
Cuma, if you go to KK, you have to wait LIKE FOREVER la..hehehehe....

So, what is the medical care given during our monthly check up?

Briefly, at UMRA
3mo - scan and confirm pregnancy (single or twin)
4mo - scan (tak datang pon takpe)
5mo - scan and start taking medicine (obimin etc)
6mo - scan and cocok kancing gigi
7mo - scan and check diabetics, start taking urine, and buat detail scan on the baby
8mo - scan and start to check up biweekly (doc dah start monitor closely)
9mo - scan and check jantung baby, doc dah brief bile mau bersalin and the procedure bagai....

This is for normal pregnancy, meaning for those yang takde kencing manis or darah tinggi....
For yang special case tu, I'm not sure what did they go thru during their monthly check up....

Things that I will consider when choosing a feeding milk are...

1. Botol tu mestilah wide neck...MESTI!! Sebab saya takde susu dispenser, saya letak susu in a large container terus. When I have to prepare susu for Aisyah and kene pulak time tu dalam kete yang keadaannya tak berapa nak stabil tu...can u imagine kalau botol tu narrow neck?? Abis la tumpah segala milk powder itu (because I am a clumsy mommy). Thus, I need wide neck bottle supaya senang buat susu tanpa tumpah2. Dah nama pon WIDE kan..kalau tumpah jugak...no comment lah..heee

2. Puting or nipple nya mesti la senang untuk didapati di pasaraya2 and murah...I used to use botol susu TT (Tommee Tippee), sepasang puting TT costs us about rm23. What the .. mahal gile kot for just a pair of nipple. Sbb I have a habit kerap tukar puting feeding bottle. Apparently because of the hygienic reason la kan. So for me, nk spend rm23 biweekly is just not worth a penny...heee

3. Scale kat bottle tu mestilah clear. For instance, botol susu MAM tu, nampak jelas scale ounce or ml while TT tu kan tak nampak. Itu la what I mean by a clear scale. Kalau scale nye clear, tak payah la kita nk susah2 teropong, dah isi air banyak mana kan....pastu nnt nk kene check at eye level lagi so that takde ralat paralaks (cisss, poyo betul..ingat ini nak isi chemical untuk eksperimen sains ke???hahahaha)

In 2012, cost for LSCS is RM 2999 and when I have to undergo emergency LCSC, it cost me RM3500...

I took 2 bedded room (non sharing)...

Just to share yang Executive Single Room at UMRA tak berapa besar and for me better take 2 bedded non sharing sebab nanti orang yang menunggu kita tu boleh tido kat katil yang lagi satu...

You still have your own privacy plus spacious room and extra bed...

Compared if you opt for Single Bed...yang space constrain...and no extra bed...

I read a few blogs that write about giving birth kat UMRA ni memang akan di czer
And surprisingly my school friend yang aku budget diaorg mmg xtau pasal UMRA (sbb semuanya successful and they go to PCMC and hosp gah gah tu) tu pon cakap the same thing about UMRA

IMHO, czer or normal delivery tu semua adalah rezeki...and we have to accept it....provided you have tried your best.
Try your best meaning, before bersalin..read a lot and gain as much as possible info about pregnancy, solat, habluminallah wa habluminannas (jaga perhubungan dengan Allah dan manusia), berdoa byk2, baca al-quran, exercise, enroll pregnancy class, familiarize yourself with scientific terms regarding pregnancy, jaga makan etc etc

Two years back, I was one of the patient yang bersalin secara czer di UMRA
Why I was Caesar? Sebab my darling baby hampir lemas but the dilation was only 2 cm
And the doc made a decision to go for czer

Bila my makcik2, a few frens and cousin2 dpt tau I czer..
Dan disaat itu, bertubi2 lah soalan dari umat manusia sekeliling saya
Knp doc tak cuba induce dilation
Knp doc tak vacuum
Knp doc tak bg epi
Knp doc tak tunggu

Dah baby tu nak lemas, ko nak cakap ape kan...
Doc akan tunggu and cuba untuk normal delivery if the mother yang sakit or ade problem lain..
But when it comes to baby, doc akan buat apa saja untuk save the baby...

Sekarang, tengah pregnant second child and I still opt for UMRA to deliver my darling baby ni
And of course, at UMRA, the policy is, first child czer, second child definitely UMRA will go for czer..
Simply because UMRA do not want to take the risk of rupture on the scar of the uterus...
For those yang nak try normal for the 2nd child, you can go to other hospital bersalin...

Banyak je hosp yg offer VBAC a.k.a. bersalin secara normal after czer...
Apepun it is all up to your comfortability...
Yang nak keluarkan baby nye adalah kita...
Bukan husband, bukan mak, bukan MIL, bukan our aunties, or our cousin...
Think of your comfort when it comes to nak bersalin...

Review BabyZen Yoyo and Halford Pramette S8

After considering whether shud we get a stroller or not...

Finally we decided to buy BabyZen Yoyo for Aisyah...

Sebenarnya Aisyah dah ade stroller...it is Halford Pramette S8...

But, memandangkan stroller itu sangat lah bulky...

We bought her another stroller...

Bagi I, it is actually wasting money to buy 2 3 stroller for a child but sometimes it is inevitable...

Why are we not continuing using Halford?

1. Halford is a bit bulky

2. Susah nak maneuver if your baby dah berat, I mean masa umur Aisyah less than 1yo, Halford tu senang nak maneuver, but as she grew up and gaining weight...aiyooo susahnya mau maneuver.

3. Space consuming and heavy...dah nama pon bulky kan...mesti la berat dan besar...

and why do we bought BabyZen?

1. Light of course 

2. Whenever Aisyah tak nak seat on the stroller, we can fold and carry it instead of tolak je stroller tu 

3. Senang nak maneuver, especially kat tempat yang sempit

4. Space saving

5. Sangat senang nak fold and unfold it

At the age of 2yo, Aisyah bukan la nak sangat seat on the stroller bile pegi jalan2, but when she is sleepy...and we are in the middle of looking for something important at the shopping mall...stroller is essential at that point of time.

Tapi hubby always remind me that anak itu rezeki dr Allah...

And I accept that..

Cuma, in terms of monthly check up...we are not seriously adhere to the date of appointment given by UMRA..pendek kate selalu lambat-lambatkan...

Tak tahu la ape consequence nya...

Doc kat UMRA tu tak say anything pon...I take it as OK la kan..

Minggu ni Ajis buat keje sampai Rabu jek. Khamis to Ahad cuti and die start balik next week. Ade hal kat kampung katenye. 

So progress this week...

Dah naik tiang. Ade 3 tiang as you can see.

Cyst During Pregnancy

Assalamualaikum

Patut la rasa macam tak sedap hati jek since I found out I pregnant. Ade cyst rupenye or specifically I should mention it as Ovarian Cyst sebab Cyst consists of several types.

I consider my menstrual circulation as normal sebab every month, without failed, memang I akan RED FLAG. Tapi, last month, bila sepatutnya tiba masa untuk "bercuti", "waktu" yang ditunggu-tunggu itu tak kunjung-kunjung tiba. PELIK. Pregnant ker? 

Bila check with UPT. The result is POSITIVE jah oii. Bila dah tau ade isi tu, sebok nak pi scan untuk confirmkan. On the weekend, I buat appoinment dengan my friend (Dr Rosma).

After Rosma scan, she found ade cyst. Agak besar tapi she said it is still early to assume anything. She asked me to come again before she off to Umrah, this month end.

Meanwhile, my other friend (Dayah), actually we're all from the same school, has suggested me to consume jus delima (belum beli lagi pon!!). Katenye jus delima boleh mengecutkan cyst. No harm trying kan. Plan to go and buy the pomegranate juice tu esok (Friday) kat Mahnaz, boleh baca review disini.  

Looking at the bright side....a few of my friends claim that the cyst will shrink simultaneity with the baby's development. I believe itu semua kuasa Allah plus kita pon kene la berusaha towards men'shrink' kan cyst tu.

Lets pray that the cyst will cause no harm to my pregnancy.

Selambe kitaorg tinggalkan besi2 tu kat luar ek. Besi2 tu barang panas....hehe

Rumah PertamaKu

Alhamdulillah. Pada akhir tahun 2010, house hunting I berakhir. I end up jumpa satu rumah yang I afford to buy di Setia Alam (SA). It is my first home.

Back in year 2010, Setia Alam tidak lah seperti sekarang (congested). Pagi2 nak sampai ofis I pon boleh took one hour. Normally 20 mins dah sampai.

Rumah yang I beli tu is a previously-owned house. After a long S&P process, we started to occupy the house in June 2011.

Condition of the house is still okay and no renovation been made. We just move in and stay and accept it as it is.

And now, sedar tak sedar, dah almost 3 years we live here. Neighborhood is great even though most of them are non-Muslims and Chinese.

Sekarang, SA dah ada 2 pekan kecik. Satu kat Setia Indah, satu lagi kat Setia Impian. Dah ade shopping mall (Setia City Mall). I jarang ke sana unless nak tengok movie.

Go Green! Setiap rumah ade pokok. Jenuh hari2 nak kene sapu deciduous leaves

Kat row I ni, hanya ada less than 5 Muslims family. 3 to 4 Indians and the rest Chinese. Rumah yang I beli ni kecik je. Kalau nak masuk 2 kereta tu muat tapi giri-giri (sipi-sipi) jek la. 

Ade a few yang besarkan pagar and boleh masuk 2 kereta, tapi most of the owner tak renovate pon. That's why you can see they just parked their cars outside.

As you can see, walaupon tak clear sgt, almost all the owners keep the original anterior of the house that lead the street looks harmonious. I notice yang Chinese ni tak suke renovate rumah yang over macam neighborhood Melayu. Huehuehue

Day 4 - Ajis dah start menggunakan simen. Semalam kan Ajis dah tanam kayu bakau kat dalam lubang2 tu. Hari ni, Ajis dh buat macam pelantar on top of the kayu bakau tu. Maybe itulah yang dinamakan base yang berpiling....kot. haha

Kelulusan Untuk Mengubahsuai Rumah Part I - Introduction

Assalamualaikum

I rasa semua orang pon aware yang before nak renovate rumah, we have to get approval from town council tempat anda menetap. In my case, I have to get an approval MBSA. I know ramai yang ingat Setia Alam is under district of Klang but NOPE, Setia Alam falls under the management of MBSA.

Tapi sangat lah border dengan Klang, tak rase macam penduduk Shah Alam pon. Rase macam duduk kat Klang.

Bagi I, it is important for us to get an approval from the local authorities before renovating. Why? Sebab kerja2 renovation yang kami nak buat ni melibatkan external building structure. So, kalau tak dapat kelulusan MBSA, and ade jiran complaint bunyi bising and habuk etc etc, MBSA ada hak untuk datang check and tear down bangunan yang kita extend without permission itu. Rugi tak???

Secondly sebab, kalau renovation rumah kita tu approved and MBSA certified, in case if we want to sell the house in the future, we can proclaim the renovation cost. Kalau buat renovation secara illegal, kita hanya boleh jual rumah tu dalam bentuk asal sahaja. Another kerugian at our side kan.

Macam mana nak register for house renovation? For those yang plan nak meng'extend' rumah, y'all boleh la ke pejabat majlis perbandaran masing2 and ask them how.

For those yang tinggal di Shah Alam, y'all boleh la ke pejabat MBSA untuk membeli buku panduan pelan yang berharga RM 50.00 sahaja.

Ini la buku yang berharga RM 50.00 sahaja tu.

Ini adalah salah satu contoh pelan lakar yang ada dalam buku tu, so that no need to hire architect la nak suruh buat pelan untuk submit. All you have to do is just fill in the lakaran form tu je.

Biasenye kerja2 mendapatkan kelulusan ni dibuat oleh contractor yang kite hire tu. Tapi memandangkan Ajis ni hanya menjadikan kerja2 me'renovate' rumah sebagai kerja side income die je, so die amatlah busy dan kami mohonlah sendiri kelulusan nye.

Semalam balik rumah lambat sebab pegi Tesco dulu. Sampai rumah dah nak Maghrib. Sampai2 je rumah, terus check on the progress of extension work kat belakang rumah. Over kan. Baru 2 hari Ajis tu buat keje.

Oleh kerana hari dah golap. So, gambar pon tak berapa nak clear.

Progress hari ni, Ajis dah korek 2 lubang besau kat blakang tu. Both lubang tu nanti, nak tanam pokok bakau tu lah. Untuk piling.
